Wired in
A dedicated cable ties the ventilator to one wall controller. Moving it or adding a room means opening the ceiling.
Matter over Thread ventilation bridge
LinkThings is a small bridge that turns any heat-recovery ventilator into a wireless Matter device, whatever the maker. No new wiring, and every room gets only the air it needs.

So the best air in the house is stuck behind a wall remote, and the whole home runs on one setting.

A dedicated cable ties the ventilator to one wall controller. Moving it or adding a room means opening the ceiling.
Each maker uses its own protocol, so nothing talks to anything else and every integration starts from zero.
Cooking smells in the kitchen switch on the bedroom too. On/off for the whole house can't tell rooms apart.
The bridge
Most heat-recovery ventilators already have an RS-485 / Modbus port. The bridge only listens there, so nothing new is pulled through the ceiling.
A thin driver per model turns each maker's registers into one common device model. Same board, any ventilator.
The ventilator joins your home as a wireless Matter device. No cloud in the middle, and designed to keep working when the internet doesn't.
Scenes and management live in SmartThings. The ventilator becomes one more device it can read and control.

Room by room
Every ceiling has a wireless diffuser. When one room's CO₂ climbs, only that diffuser opens. Tap a room to see it happen.

※ A simulation of how it behaves.
Scenes
Automations run in SmartThings. LinkThings makes the ventilator a first-class device in them.
When the range heats up, only the kitchen diffuser opens wide and the bedrooms stay quiet.
Fan speed drops, CO₂ is still watched, and only occupied rooms are ventilated.
An empty home gets a trickle instead of a full cycle, and fresh air before you return.

It targets ventilators controlled over RS-485 (Modbus). Each maker only needs a thin driver, so the same board can be reused, and supported models are growing through the pilot.
Matter is a standard that lets smart-home devices from different makers work together. Thread is the low-power wireless mesh network they can run on.
It is designed around local communication that doesn't go through a cloud, so control inside the home keeps working if the internet drops.
Scenes and management are currently built around SmartThings. Because it is a Matter device, we design it to work with other Matter controllers too.
The bridge plugs into the ventilator's RS-485 port, so the goal is installation without new wiring. The diffusers are wireless as well.

We're preparing a small pilot. Tell us which ventilator you have and we'll tell you how it would connect.
